Installation Requirements
Professional Installation: This product must be installed by qualified roofing professionals to ensure safety and compliance with building regulations. Site Preparation: Ensure the structural upstand is level, fully insulated, and weatherproofed before installation. Equipment Needed: Cordless drill, sealant gun, hex nut driver, tape measure, and PH2 drill bit (full list provided in technical documentation).
Installation Steps
Handling & Preparation:
Carefully unpack and inspect all modules. Follow unit handling guidelines to prevent damage during lifting and positioning.
Positioning & Fixing:
Align modules precisely with the upstand, ensuring a consistent spacing of 5mm between adjacent units. Apply Silfix U9 sealant at all key junctions to maintain weatherproofing and airtightness. Secure modules with the provided security fixings (do not overtighten). Electrical & Opening Units (if applicable): For powered opening modules, wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Use a momentary control switch or compatible controller to prevent actuator damage. Rain sensor or remote-control options are available for enhanced functionality.
Final Checks & Cleaning:
Verify all seals, joints, and fixings to ensure structural integrity. Clean the glass with lukewarm water and a soft cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
